PEACE Child & Youth Program

The PEACE Child & Youth program is designed to aid children and youth between the ages of 3 and 18, and their caregivers, who have been impacted by violence. By working with children and youth, the PEACE Child & Youth program strives to end and heal the intergenerational cycle of violence. Counselling addresses the emotional, social, behavioural and psychological issues arising when a child witnesses violence, and helps children learn to cope and heal through:

  • Individual and group counselling
  • Community presentations regarding the effects of children and youth exposed to violence
  • School-based educational activities designed to prevent violence
